The dog training with Caroline was excellent. She made it fun for both us and our puppy and gave us a great deal of very useful information and tips, a lot of which we didn't know despite this being our third dog. I first went to see Caroline for some 1-1 training for my 15mth old Weimaraner, Jake, to help get some better recall.
She was amazing with him and he quickly formed a connection with her and would get so excited every time we went.
Caroline taught us lots of different fun exercises to build up his focus on me.
She backed up each weeks lesson with help sheets to refer to, which was invaluable as I would never have been able to remember everything week by week.
She explained everything very clearly and in detail. It really helps if you can understand how your dog learns and how important it is to be consistent and clear when training.
We’re a few months on now and Jake has improved greatly and so much better. It is still work in progress of course, and as Caroline says ‘Training isn’t an event, it’s happening all the time’

I don't normally do reviews be it good or bad, but in this case it is for exceptional reasons.
I wanted to take my Sprocker called Millie to a puppy class and found the Ogwell Dog Trainer. I attended the six week puppy class and learnt a great deal from Caroline.
I was so impressed that i continued further training on a one to one basis throughout the summer and autumn as i found it so useful and feel that i have a better dog for it.
Caroline has a wealth of knowledge and has helped a great deal. I have no hesitation in recommending The Ogwell Dog Trainer.

Caroline has a lot of experience with dog training, and gave us lots of great advice. Her main message is that training takes time and focus. She gives you the tools, but WE have to put in the work EVERYDAY! I love that she gives out prizes for different things - always keeping us on our toes! We cannot recommend Caroline The Ogwell Dog Trainer highly enough. She is a dog whisperer extraordinaire! Her puppy classes are structured, innovative and fun. They are accompanied by clear notes and she also has some excellent supportive training videos for a modest cost. For further progress, her one to one lessons are superb.

We just completed the 6 week puppy course which was excellent. Our black labrador pup now knows the important cues and behaviours, and life is much easier all round! We signed up for the full package which included an hour zoom with Caroline before the course started (which was really helpful to nip some of the unwated behaviours in the bud, and also to reassure us in the early days of puppy-dom!) plus we had access to the videos that support the face to face training so we could begin as soon as we got her at 8 weeks - we really recommend this whole package to anyone with a new puppy, it made a really big difference and is great value for money. We're looking forward to doing more courses with Caroline - thanks again!

I was lucky enough to have dog training with Caroline about 15 years ago, for my staffordshire bull terrier pup 'yardie' Caroline was fantastic and her genuine love of dogs and skills were a fantastic start for the next 10 years of having a happy well trained dog. I'm now considering another dog and would not consider using anyone else for lessons/training.
