We have two young Jack Russell puppies who have run us ragged since we got them at 12 weeks. They are now 11 months old and a couple of months ago we realised we needed some proper professional dog training to ensure they became good citizens as they were starting to chase and bring down deer and sheep. We are so lucky to have found Ingrid; she is an empathetic, clear, fun trainer who has enabled us to get our lives back and our puppies are now able to have daily walks, they no longer get run after livestock, they are responsive to us and the whistle, they have boundaries and seem all the happier for it. We can't thank Ingrid enough for giving us a plan of action and being at the end of the phone when we needed help. Thank you Ingrid!

Before we met Ingrid we had a 10 month rescue pointer cross beagle who had started to rule our lives. Despite other trainers and efforts all recall training had failed and she could not be trusted to be let off as she would bolt/chase if given the chance. She was also willful at home and always charged with energy which made her a handful.

I found Ingrid through the reviews and from our first conversation I knew she was going to be the right help for us! Confident in her methods and very straight talking when it came to what was needed. We started the 5 week course which is very intensive and you do have to put your life on hold. With this and the anti livestock training we now have a different dog who is calm and controlled and all the hard work is paying off and our dog is a joy to be around and walk.

2 months later we are still keeping on top of the training as it is key to keep these things going but Ingrid has given us all the tools to do this. And when Una did do something she wasn't supposed to, Ingrid was there to help and replied quickly to give us advice.

After our small whippet took great joy in running off across two fields to chase a local flock of sheep, and would pull on the lead in excitement when encountering sheep anywhere on a walk, we contacted Ingrid and booked some training with her. We enjoyed our time with Ingrid and found her advice and training invaluable. Our whippet will now walk calmly and with complete disinterest through a field containing sheep meaning I can still walk in my lovely local fields with a well behaved and under control dog. Thank you Ingrid.

Being the owner of an excitable lurcher who showed far too much interest in sheep and deer I knew it was necessary to find a solid stock trainer. This is where Ingrid came in and I'm so glad she did. After spending one hour with Ingrid and a further week firming up on what she had shown me I now have a dog who actively avoids sheep and is far less interested in deer. It really has been a revelation and I cannot recommend Ingrid, who incidentally is a lovely lady, highly enough. Heartfelt thanks.

We have a lively 2 year old vizsla who loves to chase wild animals. She never catches them but we wanted to have more control and to know Luna would be safe as well as the wildlife.
Ingrid’s training was superb. We are amazed by the difference in Luna. She now walks beautifully on the lead so no more pulling - and we are getting there with walking to heel off the lead. Our control of Luna is really good as well. We will keep up the good work. It is true a dog’s behaviour is about the owner’s willingness to do the work.
Ingrid is a delight to work with. She has no nonsense and is a lot of fun. A beautiful lady inside and out. Thank you Ingrid. ♥️

We had 2 very lively Irish red setters, litter brothers, who only took notice of each other and not us! Ingrid's training (of us) was strict, but absolutely necessary. We lived in a country location in the Lake District surrounded by private fields, woods, rivers and consequently deer, pheasant, sheep and rabbits. As pups they would constantly run away and cover miles in a short space of time, putting their lives at risk. We owe so much gratitude to Ingrid. The boys lived to 16 years old and we miss them every day. (Plus we miss Ingrid!)

Rook was a very bouncy one year old Labrador with selective hearing, we live in an area heavily populated by sheep. So anti livestock chasing is a must have for any responsible dog owner in this area.
Since training with Ingrid my relationship with Rook has changed, he now gives me eye contact and reacts to my commands straight away.
He seems to love the training and the freedom it has given us both when walking out on the Moor.
We now no longer have to worry about any sheep popping out infront of us.

We found ourselves in need of a dog trainer after recognising that our loveable working cocker spaniel could equally be selectively "deaf" and unresponsive as would suit him. Being a lockdown pup he missed out on early formal training so finally decided after a few years it was time to do the right thing for him as well as ourselves and of course other dog owners.
We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have stumbled across Ingrid's website and knew from the first phone call this was someone we could work with. It was immediately apparent that she would be able to guide us through the necessary steps of training. We signed up for the 5 week course which covered a back to basics program of walking on the lead properly, recall work, off lead work, and anti livestock training. We could not imagine the difference in his behaviour in such a short period of time. We now have a responsive, willing dog and we are truly enjoying taking him out for walks confident in his recall and improved behaviour around other dogs. The course requires significant input from you as owners in time and dedication but the rewards are massive. The training continues to be built into our everyday walks now so it becomes part of our normal routine.

Quite simply if you are in need of a trainer who will listen to the specific needs of your dog and who provides one to one training, then without doubt you should consider Ingrid as your number one choice. Her love of dogs shines through and her willingness to work with you is a true gift. We consider ourselves very fortunate. Thank you again Ingrid!!
