Passing on A66 and saw the signs to Warcop. Sadly wasn't allowed past the gatehouse as had wanted to look around. I was at the camp some 50 years ago with the school CCF. Why we travelled in land-rover and the old 3 tonner all the way from Warwickshire sitting on those slatted wooden benches I have no idea. But was fun camp with live firing and orientation hikes plus war games. Glad though to see the camp is still going and hasn't been axed as with so many others camps around the UK.

Ablutions are awful, flooded three times over the span of a week. The gravel hill in the training area made me want to kill myself but the food was honestly not that bad. Warcop 2024

Cool place. Warcop Annual 2024!!!!! Not well maintained and the ablutions are a little shoddy. Found a tapeworm in the shower once.

It was a decent camp I did my skill at arms and first got to use a rifle here but the only usable range was a small air rifle DCCT and the accommodation hasn't changed since the 70s but the showers are on the better end of MOD showers

Just spent a week at Warcop, the place is slowly crumbling into the Cumbrian countryside and is not maintained at all well by Landmarc the contractors who are supposed to look after it. Some of the best ranges in UK let down by shoddy dirty accomadation. On the bright side the food in the cook house was top notch, a big thank you to the chefs.

Always love my visits to Costa Del Clip. The food is so basic that it only comes in an 8bit format but it's a home away from home except it sounds like a Ugandan film that rips off Robocop.
