Following 4 weeks of residential training and 3 weeks at kennels, Tom and Sharne have transformed our chocolate labrador, Jethro. Jethro is 2.5 years old and a lovable and excitable dog. I failed to train him well when he was a puppy and he then became very big and very strong. Any attempt at getting a lead on him was impossible and, when we managed it, he would pull like a train – it was worrying as he’s a big 35kg dog. After the intensive four-week training with Tom and Sharne, we met Jethro briefly and he was already walking nicely on the lead. He then had to be in kennels for a few weeks as we were going on holiday and in that time, he transformed into a dog who listens and walks on a lead. We are now able to take him out for walks and he’s able to go past other dogs and people without reacting. We have some way to go still, but what a wonderful start!

Given the training period and time in kennels, we were worried about being away from him for so long. Sharne suggested we meet up and see him mid-way through which was very kind as we truly missed him enormously. Sharne looked after him so well and it was obvious how much affection he had for the both of them and them for him. He came back beautifully groomed and healthy.

If you’re thinking of residential training with Tom and Sharne, please do not hesitate, as they have truly made a massive difference to our lives. It’s no longer a worry to take Jethro out and we look forward to our walks with him.

Tom & Sharne took on our extremely anxious and reactive terrier mix.
To tell the truth, I wasn’t holding out much hope, and certainly wasn’t expecting miracles, but we couldn’t be happier.
Dylan is never going to be excited by the outside world but he has gained strategies to cope with triggers.
He’s no longer lunging at random people we pass, lorries or tractors. Pulling on the lead has been eliminated and reacting to other dogs is heading in the right direction.
As well as working wonders on the behavioural front, Tom and Sharne also looked after his emotional wellbeing. I really felt that Dylan had been cared for sensitively, rather than as just another job. As a family, we appreciated the video and text messages during Dylan’s stay and beyond, providing continued support for Dylan and us.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Our 5 year old rescue dog Ruby has spent 3 weeks in residential training with Tom and Sharne. Ruby had a few behavioural issues that needed addressing, mainly pulling on the lead and getting over excited when out particularly around other dogs. I know that Tom and Sharne have dedicated many hours to her training of these issues and I can very quickly see great improvement. They also gave me tools and tips for handling Ruby on my own. Most importantly they were extremely loving and kind to Ruby, I know they really bonded and she was treated as part of the family. Knowing your dog was being loved and cared for alongside the training was great peace of mind. Tom and Sharne are undoubtedly brilliant experienced dog trainers and two of the nicest people I’ve met. I’m so happy to have found them!

Sharne and Tom were amazing right from the start!
Rocco started to pull on walks and it was almost impossible to walk within 10 metres of a dog due to Rocco pulling. As he was getting older it started to get out of hand. We did a lot of puppy classes with him when he was younger, however, we soon realised that he needed something a bit more focused on him. I looked at the residential training with Vislor and within hours of contacting them, Lorraine got back to me. She was amazing in assisting us!
Tom and Sharne were welcoming and the whole
process was so simple and easy.
The drop off was easy, although emotional and we had updates of our Rocco every couple of days. When Rocco was back we could see the difference in him - no more pulling making walks for us better. He is no longer bothered by people
walking in front or past us, including cyclists. He is a lot more calm around the house, and although there is still a lot more work with Rocco, they have given us an amazing starting point to continue. Tom and Sharne still helped us with our questions and tips even after the residential.
Thank you Tom and Sharne for helping us so much, I’m sure Rocco is thanking you too as we can now go on so many more adventures!

We can’t thank Tom and Sharne more for their absolutely amazing work with our girl Lilly. She came over as a foster from Serbia and was reactive towards most things. To the point where I would struggle walking her as she would lunge and bite and turn her frustration back onto me. It got to the point where I really didn’t know who to turn to, the whole situation was making me ill with worry about Lilly’s future.

3 weeks with Tom and Sharne in their residential boot camp and she’s like a whole new dog. They’ve taught us new techniques to safely walk Lilly around all of her triggers. We can now walk her past people, dogs (off and on lead) livestock, horses, cars, bikes, runners etc. We don’t feel like prisoners in our home anymore, Lilly’s getting the physical and mental stimulation she needs daily. She now walks to heal, will sit on command and walks have gone from non existent to my first solo walk with Lilly this morning, late morning through the village with lots of people out and about.

Not only have you changed Lilly’s life to the point where she is more than likely staying forever with us. 😀 but ours also, we now are so excited planning days out to carry Lilly’s training. The updates of Lilly were fantastic and it was great to see her progress whilst she was there and knowing she was being so well looked after. It was definitely worth the drive from North Wales,

We can’t thank you both enough and wouldn’t trust Lilly with anyone else, so much so she’s booked in for boarding whilst we are on holiday and we are going to be coming with Lilly to the reactive classes. We still have lots of work to do but now we know how to progress with Lilly. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Sean and Maria not forgetting Lilly too. ❤️🐾

Can't recommend Tom and Sharne, highly enough. We had tried one to one training with our dog Milo,with 2 different training companies, to no effect. Milo was pulling on the lead, he also jumped and nipped visitors. He would not listen to us at all. We did take a while to decide on the 3 week course ,we looked at the prices and were worried in case it didn't work, we needn't have worried. Tom and Sharne worked wonders with him,he is still our boy but better behaved. He settles when we have visitors and walks by my side. We couldn't have asked for more. He is also very good in his crate now,he no longer chews his bedding. We can't thank Tom and Sharne enough.

I cannot recommend Sharne and Tom highly enough. I have two Jack Russells and I was unable to walk them together for over a year. They were both highly reactive on walks when they saw other dogs and I was struggling to control them. My friend recommended Tom and Sharne to me, as she had similar issues with her dog. I booked my dogs in for the 3 week residential course with Tom and Sharne and it was the best thing I have ever done. They helped my one dog gain more confidence, and the other to stop being so protective over her. The transformation has been nothing short of mind blowing (which everyone who knew us before has commented on as well). Tom and Sharne kept us updated on their progress and sent lots of videos showing their improvement. We did a detailed handover session where they showed us how to implement the techniques they had taught the dogs. Since they returned to us, we’ve been keeping up the techniques and I have been able for the first time to walk my dogs together every day without any reactivity and without the usual fear and anxiety I had. The dogs enjoy the walks and are happy and so am I. The difference it has made to all of our lives is just incredible and I owe Tom and Sharne the world to have my happiness back for walking. The dogs are doing so well and I am so proud of them. If you have a reactive dog and walking is full of fear, book them in with Tom and Sharne. You’ll be so thankful you did!!!
