I just had my first visit to Urban Fitness and I was very impressed. The welcome from Jonny and Joanna was friendly and helpful, the equipment was modern and well-maintained, and the gym was clean and spacious. I tried out some of the cardio and strength machines, and I was impressed by the variety and quality of them. The atmosphere was motivating and supportive, I had a great workout and I can't wait to go back and explore more of what Urban Fitness has to offer. I have found Urban Fitness hands down the best gym in Alnwick to train. All trainers take an interest in you no matter what your fitness level and are on hand for advice and training tips. The Gym is a great place to train and I would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this gym enough. As a massive gym phobic, the idea of going to the gym and doing a workout with others was nerve wracking. However, the whole induction process was so supportive. Jo took me through every piece of equipment, guiding me through its use and encouraging me. All the staff and members were so friendly and welcoming I ended up staying over an hour and can’t wait to go back. A wonderful family run gym, that really has nailed the concept of community and guiding you through your fitness journey.

I have used the sun shower in Urban Fitness a couple of times now and I must say it is spotlessly clean with all the tubes working I was made to feel really welcome even though I am not a member Joanna showed me how the sun shower worked how to find the light, lock the door and how to operate the token slot.
I use the sun shower because I am going away next month and I hate spending 3/4 days keeping out of the sun due to burning on the first day.
Well worth the £35 for 100 minutes also the gym looks spotlessly clean with a wide range of cardio and weight machines good luck to Jonny and Joanna.

Having recently embarked on expanding their family business Jonny and Joanna have hit the ground running. With their own ideas on how they want to run a fitness centre they have put their own stamp on the decor which is fantastic. Having spoken to Jonny and Joanna they have so many plans to continue making improvements which I have seen as the weeks go by. They both bring a great deal of experience in the fitness world to Urban Fitness which includes first class advice on training programmes, personal one to one training and healthy eating.

The environment is a welcoming space with a friendly atmosphere. For many people these environments can be intimidating but fear not, that is certainly not the case here. Over many years I have used fitness training centres and I have to say this really is one of the best, take my word for it and see for yourself.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how they continue to improve and make their recently purchased facility one that’s the place to be.

I wish them both every success and I can see that their commitment and dedication is making this facility one that benefits the whole community.

Great gym with many different weight machines suited for all levels of fitness with a range of cardio machines as well. Great for weight training but also has an open area for body weight exercises with MMA equipment as well.

Modern, up and coming, in the process of refurbishments changing rooms offered with shower and toilet however you need to bring your own padlock for the lockers, offer to keep your valuables behind reception, perfectly trustworthy depends on your preference with leaving your valuables with a stranger but I had no issues with it, drinks including pre-workout (C4 ect) offered refrigerated in reception amazing service from workers, sure they will make more and more alterations shortly to improve their already immaculate service
