Unfortunately not a good experience. I found the owner sarcastic and unprofessional. I requested a tall spirited horse and was given a very overweight cob that none of the lead riders wanted to ride.

For a ride in the countryside there was a lot of riding along roads, there was also a lot of rising trot and very little cantering which people were rolling their eyes at as we were on an advanced hack.

I have been on stunning rides in Oxfordshire across beautiful countryside which are worth the extra money and drive. I do not recommend Turpins Lodge and will not be returning.

Fantastic day ride. Lovely horses, beautiful scenery and returned to a cream tea. Great value and a lovely day.

Lovely people lovely horses lovely time! I've ridden here twice now. Both times sensible decisions were made about the ability of riders and the hack adjusted as necessary. The horses are well turned out and genuine. I've hacked out both times and the majority was off road with some sensible canters - this is not about galloping off across acres of countryside. Caroline and all the instructors are really lovely.

This is a fantastic riding school. Myself and my partner have been here for a birthday hack and now my daughter has lessons here. Staff are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Loved it so much fun 🤩 only did a hour hack but it was worth it you get to untack which is great for beginners staff are so friendly definitely recommend 10/10
