I enjoyed a wonderful three days at Tallulah Rose Flower School, after completing the Floristry Foundation Course. I came to the course as a beginner and left with so much confidence that I could actually pursue floristry as a career.

We completed a number of arrangements and were shown how to create sustainable floral mechanics which were quite easy to implement. We were also shown how to take great photos and given guidance on costing and resources.

Rachel and Sarah were great teachers, it’s a very relaxed no pressure environment and a beautiful setting at Levens Hall. I would 100% recommend this course.

I bought the Tallulah Rose Sustainable Sympathy Flowers on-line course. Having read all the information and tried out one of the projects I found it to be really useful. I particularly like the helpful resource list and the free Zoom tutorial beforehand. It has made me think about how I can make other flower mechanics so that they are more sustainable. The on-line course itself was clear and contained loads of information on how to make the different designs. Very reasonably priced and some great ideas. Thank you Rachael.

When I say this was the best investment I ever did & will ever do for myself is no understatement. I lost my long term employment literally over night due to COVID the beginning of August 2020, I did not hesitate to sign up to Tallulahs first online career change course in September 2020 to start trading in October 2020. Fast forward I have my own floral studio on the high street & made the most fulfilling & rewarding living for myself. This course enabled me to study & practice at my own pace & choosing, in what particular order the modules would suit me in real time. My 3 day floristry foundation course at Tallulah Rose with Rachel and Sarah was a complete tonic. The school at Levens Hall is stylishly laid out with work benches at the perfect height. The courtyard entrance was piled high with greenery and on entering I was bowled over by the display of stunning locally grown flowers. Rachel shared her experience as a professional florist and set us up with fantastic locally crafted ceramic bowls for our first flower arrangement. We could use as much foliage and as many flowers as we wanted and she was both encouraging and helpful with advise when needed. Sustainability is important at Tallulah Rose and we discussed how the flower industry is changing. Sarah also instructed us, using an “ecopot” meadow planter in which we were free to create stunning displays with the fabulous stock of flowers and foliage which had been replenished over night! In addition to the flower arranging, we learnt about photography, social media, sustainability and costings. Playing with flowers, chatting with like minded people and learning new tricks was stimulating. I thoroughly recommend anyone to book a course.

How does one sum up a life-changing experience in a simple review? I've worked my entire adult life as a creative in the corporate world, exceeding and reaching executive levels. Then I got laid off and I felt as though I had no value without my work. When I was younger, I found flowers and turned away from them because it felt like the more risky choice to succeed financially. So when I felt empty, the flowers came calling to me again and I found Tallulah Rose through the voices of the best florists in all of England. The time I had at Tallulah gave me the opportunity for the first time in my life as a creative to express myself and learn with no judgment or pressure. The teachers at Tallulah are supportive to help you find your style and creative expression through flowers. There isn't one way to design and the flowers speak to each student in their own way. Tallulah doesn't force a "way" to design. They support you in helping you figure out your way and teach you how to respect and care for the flower and mother nature through sustainable practices. I will forever be thankful to Rachel and Sarah for allowing me to express myself and learn while I healed. I thank the town of Kendal and the land of England for being so inspirational and kind. It's a beautiful school, people and country. You will never regret investing in yourself. Just do it. Take the leap. You deserve it!
