Surrey South Farnham SCITT offer a fantastic route into our glorious profession. The course provides many excellent schools to train in across a wide geographical area. These placements are supported superbly by outstanding professional studies that are always well-received by all students.
However, the critical characteristic of the course that stands out for me is the support, time and care put into providing the best opportunity for each student by all the Mentors, Support Tutors and South Farnham Team that make this course stand out.

I trained with the South Farnham SCITT programme 2018-2019. The programme was comprehensive and all the training staff were incredibly supportive and approachable. I made friends for life and, having spoken to a number of trainees on other programmes (both PGCE and SCITT routes), I genuinely feel the South Farnham SCITT cannot be rivalled. If you are considering teaching, you won't regret following this route.

Nearing the end of my training year and I can honestly say that the support I have received through Surrey South Farnham SCITT has been second to none. You are provided with an amazing support team from day one, with a cohort lead, support tutor and the whole SCITT team at your disposal, should you need help on specific topics. Each SCITT tutor has their speciality and their experience is such a huge help. In addition, you have access to a wealth of material and resources –the journey to becoming a teacher is challenging, especially balancing work and life but it is a journey I would take again in a heartbeat.
From advice on anything you need help with to a vital network of colleagues and friends, the team are there to support you through each step and even as deadlines are looming, you never feel as if you are on your own. I know I have made life-long friends from my cohort and I feel as I near the end of this year, that I am now part of something that will remain a familiar face throughout my career. I have had advice on prepping for interviews, essay PDT feedback which has pushed me to do better and most of all, I have loved having the opportunity to work with such a brilliant and inspiring group of educators who have guided me towards wanting to become the best teacher I can. If you go in willing to embrace everything, you will come out the other end with the best start you could possibly wish for – in my opinion, an outstanding training programme in every way.
