I've known AD since we were in University together in 2004 and since then I've had my website displaying my work as a Cinematographer designed by him for the last 20 years.

One of things I admire about AD is that I can delegate and trust completely. He's a true expert in his field.

As it's my website, I could choose to dictate by giving literal instructions about how it should be or how it should operate and I could micro manage exactly what my site should be, but instead I see AD as a creative artist and I like to give him total autonomy, to use his skills, experience and talent to create a website that has a user experience that is pleasant, effective and does what it needs to do.

Some of our creative meetings involve me showing AD the websites of other cinematographers that tonally I engage with and admire and we chat about some of the things it needs to do, how it needs to operate from a user experience, displaying my images and videos in a seamless and intuitive way.

Then I unleash him to translate those ideas on a site that works for the audience. AD is wonderful at communicating and being accessible whenever I've needed to change something, and he is a lovely and joyful person to be around too. I always enjoy meeting up with him every year or so for a redesign, but mostly for his company.

My colleagues are always impressed by my website, how it works from a user perspective, how it looks and their experience of using it.
My agents that have represented me are always impressed too, and have often referred Director and Producers to my site rather than their own which is a testament in itself.

It's been 20 years working with AD and I wouldn't ever have anyone else design my site for me. It's something unique and personal that displays images and video and my work that I'm proud of, and he displays that in such a nice and pleasing way.
