10/10!!!

I passed my Class 1 yesterday after a fantastic week of training with Carl, as did the lad who I was training with - we also passed our reversing and couple / uncouple exam first time earlier in the week.

From start to finish - it couldn’t have been better. From Joanne organising the booking and being so helpful with emails, through to training and test day with Carl .. it was all brilliant!!

Carl lead myself and my training pal around all the tricky routes in Carlisle which then set us up perfectly for the test day route.

We had a lovely Scania to drive which was always so clean and tidy, and along with learning plenty - we all had a great craic for the week!!

What a fantastic Boot camp Journey with SP Training.
I embarked on this mission directly from a car to Cat C+E.

The initial training was via online instruction with Kayleigh Scott as our tutor via webcam.

Then using the SP Training bootcamp online training modules the studying began before eventually heading off to the test centre for the 3 Theory exams. Which I passed. Yay.

Having past the theory exams, which enabled me to be booked in for the pratical training Modules and 3 tests, I was booked in with Wayside Transport Training School in Ferndown, Dorset.

Over a 10 day period all of the pratical CPC modules were completed.

On the 27th of Feb 2025 I finally passed my C+E final driving test, under the watchful eye of my Examiner Chris Rees, at Poole DVSA.

Thankyou to my two instructors at Wayside Transport, Paul and Garry and to SP Training for getting me through.

Courses;
Start to finish... SP Training Induction 2nd Dec 2024. practicals with Wayside Transport 10th Of Feb 2024. Pass certificates in hand. 27 Feb 2025.

If I could give any advise to others embarking on the same or similar path. Be prepared for an incredibly different journey if taking the car fast track category from to C+E.

Me and my training colleague, had our driving test today and passed the first time with no minors, going from a car license straight to class 1. I can't say how grateful I am for this opportunity and for all of the support that was provided since applying online up to this date. Our driving instructor, Rick, from the Thurrock branch was an absolute star, professional, patient, and with very good people skills. In 10 days he managed make professional drivers out of us. Thanks for everything, SP and Rick !!

I was going from car to CE. Absolutely great two weeks learnt everything I needed to prepare me for my test. All the staff have been great from start to finish. I had Andy as my course instructor, and he was brilliant throughout. I sat my test and passed 1st time. I would absolutely recommend SP Training.

This is Jolyon Stevenson, I passed my LGV Class 1 (Artic) practical today at the Biggleswade Practical Driving test centre. I did my course with SP Training and was absolutely thrilled with how good the course and instructors were. I can't thank you enough for the very enjoyable course. A big shout out to my main instructor Clive from the Biggleswade branch who was a brilliant instructor, very knowledgeable and approachable and was a joy to learn from throughout. Also Bob from the Biggleswade branch was amazing and I've learnt so much from them both. I would recommend SP Training to anyone looking to start a career in Lorry driving, I'm just so pleased with everything from start to finish. Thank you

From start to finish SP Training have been great! Communication from the Carlisle team who keep you up to date and everything running smooth.
And a great instructor what can I say Andy Bickers (Legend). His knowledge and his experience really shows when teaching and had his work cut out with me on a couple of bad days! Top guy! 100% recommend!
