A combination of practical and theory sessions by our dear Laura was given. It was an amazing experience learning under her.she taught us first Aid principles .she was a great trainer.she delivered the training in a way that was clear and made it easy to remember.

Really good course, very well delivered by John. Plenty of opportunity for practical practice. Lots of different scenarios covered with plenty of good sensible practical advice and tips. I felt a lot more confident by the end of the course. I would highly recommend skillbase.

Took over a month to finally recieve our certificates. The trainer was absolutely great but she was a 3rd party and not involved with the production of the certificates. She was so apologetic, and jumped through hoops to get them finally issued, but SkillBase? No. Just avoid like the plague.
I have done numerous courses with numerous trainers (including the one used this time, although previously they worked with a different organisation) and have never had problems with the issuing body until Skillbase. Frankly I feel this overseeing body is incompetent and should definitely have the right to issue certificates looked into, and as such I have complained to the HSE and asked their businesses practices to be investigated.

I took this course as my previous 1st aid cert had expired during covid. Laura our tutor was amazing! Everything was explained clearly, and learning checked. The practical sessions were fun (& memorable!). I would 100% recommend SkillsBase , looking forward to my instructor course in a couple of weeks!

I cannot praise the SkillBase team enough. From Natalie, who did a lot of virtual hand holding prior to the course, to Laura who delivered it with skill (and compassion when needed)
It is a full on two day course, and there is a lot of information to take on board but it never feels rushed. You take an active part in all aspects of the learning, and can ask lots of questions without feeling awkward and uncomfortable (it helped that the others on the course were all really nice 😊), and share your own experiences too.

Superb course set at a good pace and very good value compared to alternatives from larger organisations. There are great training facilities at their base in Desford (including plenty of tea and coffee!) and the instructor, Laura, was really friendly and clear in her teaching. Would absolutely recommend!

Representing a local motorcycle training organisation (Hinckley based), we are incredibly lucky (maybe it's the way we do things) to not having had any serious injuries but it's great to know that, whatever gets thrown at us (hopefully never), we are prepared to react correctly and with some confidence to every eventuality.
Great training : great instructors : great experience [THIRD time we have done the FULL course ; we did annual refreshers between times which were also brilliant]
