We always use this location for a meet between grandparents and grandchildren as it’s half way for both of us. Great play area and cafe. Always impressive to hear and see the steam train in the valley below.

Regular favourite for our weekly walk. Well maintained paths and wide enough to walk 2 abreast and still allow others to pass (I guide a blind person). The main route back to the coffee shop and car park is a steady incline but not overly taxing if you have reasonable mobility. Just take it slow and use the benches along the way if needed.
Coffee shop staff are great. Always friendly and happy to chat if it’s not too busy and you’re that way inclined. Also not so chatty as to make you feel obliged to have a conversation, if you’re not a chatty person.
Highly recommend the tea cakes and squidgy lemon cake!

One of the best country parks we have visited, with magnificent views stretching for miles. You can see and hear the Severn Valley Railway trains in the distance.

Ideal for children and adults alike. It's a dogwalkers paradise!

There's lots of interesting walks and trails to enjoy and a very good snack cafe with good variety of fresh sandwiches and toasties.

The children's play area is good for young children with items made of wood.

There is also a very good history of how it was a mining area with descriptive, educational room.

Excellent carpark.
