I recently graduated [01/31] from Per Scholas Dallas. I must thank the leadership for ensuring and making us the learners their number one priority. And the instructors, made sure we all passed our exams by making sure we were well equipped with the knowledge we needed. I'd chose Per scholas again if there was a way to advance my tech career to the next level as a data analyst.

I have yet to finish my program, but I will say that this has been a life saving opportunity. I have been through soo much financially and even thinking about pursuing certifications out of my pocket, gave me a migraine. This bootcamp training has opened up the opportunity for me to finally get a taste for success!

Tips for prospective learners:
Yes it's 8hrs a day + studying + labs (it will be hundreds of hours put in by the end of it all), this sacrifice & commitment to your success is worth it.

Now because it is an intense bootcamp, don't expect to study like you did in college, procrastinating, cramming, and even reading too much ain't worth it.

Be resourceful and collaborate with you classmates! It helps lighten the load when everyone pitches in and you learn a lot in the process.

Don't be afraid to ask for help, the team is truly a learner support team and they are willing to help out the best they can.

Apply to jobs as soon as you get your resume reorganized, we all know the job market sucks so get started as soon as possible!

B R E A T H E- it's ok to not know everything, no one does and we're all learning together! You're going to do amazingly ;D

I'm just starting out with per scales and hope my experience will be better than it has so far. I asked a few basic questions and the staff were not to good about answering. For example it's online program but the dress code says in person and I couldn't get clarification. I also tried to do prework and the person was quite unhelpful to let me know where the badge is which was not covered in the orientation interview that was already over an hour.

The main improvement besides this is I had waited a whole week after the interview. I know the person. Is busy but it could be helpful to have an email saying they are getting to you as I felt I had been declined.

My main concern was what the other reviewer said was that with a certificate it can still be hard to get work because you need years of experience which ive already had trouble with. There's not much job training so im going to keep trying but I hope my remaining time in the program can be more positive and less frustrating!

I hope I can finish the program!! Its 8 hr long plus maybe 2 or 3 hr to study homework. I basically feel i barely have time for the gym or grocery store. The only reason I'm trying so hard is that it's so impossible to get a job and there's not much job training.

The other thing I don't like is it is overkill to have to have slack, canvas, emails every day and class 8 hr a day. I wish it could be all done in canvas so I don't have to look at things multiple times I day. I spend as little time as possible on slack so I probably won't see a message!! I feel I hardly read the emails also!

I would consider taking the pt class but I would need to see an improvement in the program, and have appropriate time to do the assignments.

I had an amazing experience with Per Scholas and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity they gave me. They provided excellent training that prepared me well for the professional environment and real-life experiences. It was the best experience I ever had!

However, I am surprised to see some negative reviews about Per Scholas. Some people seem to be complaining about the program being beneficial to the company. But what they fail to understand is that Per Scholas is providing free training to prepare you as a potential employee for the company they work with. They wouldn't invest their time, money, and effort just to train someone for free. You can easily learn things online, but Per Scholars is allowing you to learn from professionals.

The ultimate goal of Per Scholas is to train you as a professional and help you become part of the team of a good company, provided that you prove your skills and potential. Thus, I strongly recommend Per Scholas to anyone who wants to gain practical experience and establish themselves in the professional world.

I do not know what those other people in the comments are talking about. This has been one of the most incredible opportunities a person could hope for! Not everyone will be able to have a perspective to see good. Per Scholas has an incredible education system, personal development system and a staff that cares VERY much about everyone of their students. I'm not fully done but a review is the very least I can do and hopefully they expand so I can recommend everyone that wants a career in tech without going the traditional college route.

I was pursing my Bachelors Degree but had to leave college due to unforeseen financial difficulties. I was looking for a job in the IT field but no one wants to hire you unless you have years of experience. I had heard about the Per Scholars program and decided it would be a great option in getting the experience I needed in order to obtain a job that would pay enough for me to go back to college. I attended the orientation which was very informative. Passed both reading and math TABE exams, filled out all the forms, submitted all the necessary documents, and took both assessments for their engineering programs. I have yet to hear back from the program on whether or not I passed the last assessments. Its been over 2 weeks! I've emailed, called, left messages and haven't heard back from anyone. Classes start next month, and I'm stuck! I've turned down numerous jobs thinking this program would be great for me. I appreciate programs like Per Scholas trying to uplift communities, especially minority communities, but this really is a shame.

Perscholas has changed my life dramatically and will always have a place in my heart and in my Future.
The instructors are amazing. They work with you to help you become the best person you can be. I am A+ certified and working on my Network+.
I am an alumni from Perscholas. The admissions director does a fantastic job at recruiting people who are determined and hard working individuals. My classmates were very helpful and diverse.
I recommend this program to anyone who has a passion for IT and wants a great career.
The course is 15 weeks. Not only do you get hands on IT training, but you also get business development. You have a separate instructor who helps build you resume and confidence to get you interview ready.
I have nothing but great things to say about Prescholas. Hope this helps 🙂

Literally told me I cant enroll and take the classes if I'm going to use the skills to benefit my business and not their curriculum and join one of their programs with financially benefits them . It seems like their in it for their benefit not yours.
