Hare Hill is approximately 10 acres of woodland gardens, including a popular walled garden. It is a favourite with families, especially small children who come to picnic and enjoy the safe space.
Helpful volunteers were on hand to explain the history and layout of the gardens. Facilities: Car parking, book shop, basic refreshments and toilets. Free to NT members.

Walkways could be better maintained and considering its a national trust site should be more wheelchair friendly and pathways fetched upto date. Not much respect from trust regards keeping walkway in carpark free from rotten leaves. Same with disabled bays. Only outside seating in cafe and on the expensive side. Considering the amount people pay for national trust membership and carparking charges for none members it's not well maintained. Lovely site, views and walks.

It's ages since I’ve been here so, as per usual, it didn’t disappoint. The trees were all turning golden and there was a carpet of golden leaves on the ground everywhere. Just stunning🍁🍂🍁
Beautiful views and not too busy this time as it had rained very heavily in the morning.
Grabbed a delicious hot chocolate and latte (+ the obligatory cakes, of course!) at The Wizard Tea Room but outside as they're been renovated inside.
Such a lovely afternoon☺️

Great little place for a walk with the dog or just to relax. You can spend hours here time go's so quick as it is very peaceful I often go here alone to relax as it is just so peaceful.

Parking is sometimes busy on the weekends but there is always a space on near by streets such as the near by road(Artists Lane). Lovely area as well for photography in the summer all the wildlife is more active as well.

Beautiful place. Path's leading in every direction. All well marked, I managed to do a few of them in a day. Each beautiful for there own reasons. You can happily walk for an hour or loose yourself in nature with a picnic for hours. Good for all fitness levels and ages. With some really spectacular views. There is even a little cave on the miners trail.

Big Lovely woods. Little parking next to Lodge. Then Car Park to the side of The Wizard Public House its a pay & display that is quite expensive for a long time however if you are a National Trust Member then it's free just scan your card over the pay meter. It closes at 8pm. There are toilets though I have not used. No bins around the park. Great woods. Different levels from easy walks to hard, different levels and steep ways. Beautiful trees and incredible views. A definite favorite for dog walkers, runners and photographers like me.

Some great walks through the forest, toilets are in main car park, cafe was open with just outside seating available, parking fee was £5 for 3 hrs, it's free parking for National trust members but you have to scan the QR code on your membership card to get a free parking ticket to be displayed in your car windscreen.
