I first went to MIOLI at 70years young when I had to retire from work due to ill health,I was warmly welcomed & thoroughly enjoyed it.Cat is amazing, she keeps an eye on the newcomers to make sure they are doing the exercises correctly so they do not do any damage to themselves.Easy to follow exercises to popular music, what’s not to like?Nearly 10years later I’m still at it! Made some lovely new friends & enrolled 2 of my own.Well done Cat,keep up the good work.

I’m in my mid 60’s and I have been going to the Alrewas class for nearly 2 years now and have improved my balance and coordination, which was what I wanted. The bonus is that I’ve also improved my flexibility and aerobic abilities too. My mind doesn’t work quick enough to keep up with Zumba etc… this is is not a gym workout or spin class, so if that’s what you’re looking for this is not the place for you. The instructor explains what to do, gives alternatives if you need to sit and not stand. For myself and many others it gets us moving, singing and a smile on our faces, so what’s not to like! Well done Miss Sunshine(Cat) is always upbeat and happy, which is infectious.

I’m Rosemary and I love this class with Cat.
It is carefully programmed for over 60’s though most of the class are in their 70’s or like me in their 80’s. Cat is so well prepared so the hour goes quickly and all parts of the body are moved and stretched in a safe way
I would recommend it to anyone over 70 to keep them going physically, in a fun class and make new friends too.

This is a most enjoyable way of keeping your joints moving. We do all exercises to music which most of us know and we sing to them, just makes it so easy for you not to think too much about the moves. I have been coming to this class for 7 years and have enjoyed every single one, met a lot of lovely people. Yes some of us are not perfect as we are of a certain age but that does not matter, if you do not get it right or if you have to sit to do a certain exercise. No one is perfect and sometimes it is actually funny.
I was sent to an exercise class by a consultant who wanted me to strengthen my core muscle, that was a long time ago, and recently I saw a senior physiotherapist who told me “whatever it is you are doing, keep it up because it is doing you good” what better recommendation is there.
So I would recommend this sort of class to anyone who wants to keep their joints mobile, have a good laugh and really enjoy yourself for 1 hour a week.

This review concerns a fitness class called Move it or lose it which is held every Monday and Tuesday at Wade Street, Lichfield. Move it or lose it is part of a national franchise. I first attended these classes in August 2024 on the expectation of improving my fitness. I am fairly fit having undertaken general fitness, spinning classes and weight training at several reputable local health clubs.Well where does on start . What I did not bargain for were the classes at Wade Street. The so called exercise regime consisted of consisted of banging batons on the legs and thighs and placing plastic balls between the knees and all of this to 1980s music.!! To state that this is an exercise class is a total misnomer. The members of the classes were of people of varying medical conditions, some being mobile others not. What I was immediately struck by was these same exercises are the same as those provided to residents in Long Stay care homes who have general mobility problems and severe cognitive disorders.
The cost per class for Move it or lose it is about the same as buying two lattes. I would suggest that you would get more exercise by lifting the latte cups than you would get from Move it or lose it .
