Over 5 years I've completed my level 2, 4 and 4 in business and administration. During my time my assessor has been Rhys Robinson who has been absolutely amazing supporting me throughout my apprenticeship.

I have recently completed my engineering apprenticeship here, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to go to! All the staff were so helpful and made learning enjoyable.

A special mention to Reis Deaton who was my tutor for the duration of my apprenticeship. He made sure that all my work was well above the standard and not only that, he’s a genuine and lovely bloke to work with.

We have used Learning Unlimited for four apprentices now, one of which is now a permanent member of staff, and the other two are on trajectory to be offered this too, as they're of very high standard!

It can be very difficult to get hold of your liaison and if you phone the office, they just ask to you to phone their mobile, which I've done first. However when you do get them, they're really on it!

My tutor has helped me throughout my Level 2 Business Admin to the point where I have been able to finish my coursework early and start preparing for the next course I have selected. They have been so helpful in making it possible for me to change the direction in which I would like my career to progress and I could not recommend more.

Excellent training provider & college. Engineering tutors & staff have great engineering knowledge & real world experience in the engineering industries that include; Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical, Fitting, Electrical, Maintenance, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Fitting, Manual Machining, CNC Machining, CNC Programming, CAD design, CMM Inspection & Engineering Manufacturing methods & techniques, turning, milling, grinding, injection moulding, EDM spark erosion & wire erosion & water-jet machining. Would, and do, recommend LU Derby to all my friends who may be considering an apprenticeship and career in engineering. All managers and staff very supportive, friendly and inspiring.

Why can't I 0 star?
Would not recommend to anyone, you are basically on your own once you sign up. I signed up due to someone coming in to my work place and selling it in perfectly, I was really excited to start the social media and digital marketing course level 3.
However once given my 'mentor' I was set with tasks and basically was told to 'get going' so I tried for several weeks, however I wasn't shown how to use the one file properly so was already behind schedule. I was then fobbed off by my 'mentor' and my emails where ignored.

Today I terminated my apprenticeship after being given no help or guidance on how to pass it.

Learning Unlimited only want there funding from the government and do not care about there students. They will not bother with you once there funding has gone through.
