Just don't waist your money and time. Out of 22 people starting the LPN program only 2 passed and took the NCLEX not to mention 6 months & the loans we still have to pay off. I went to Jersey and my NCLEX one term no repeating.

The teachers here are very great and helpful. No matter the time of the day or how much help you need, the teachers will stay after class hours and help you study to catch up. There’s no way that you can’t graduate from the dental assistant program with teachers like Mr. Campbell, Mrs. Eason, and Ms. Shae. They’re incredible instructors with a lot of knowledge and passion for the career field.

As a former nursing student at Fortis College, I can say without a doubt that Fortis is an excellent college. Having a positive attitude and being fully committed is a must. While enrolled in the nursing program I felt like the instructors really prepared me in successfully obtaining my Registered Nursing License. I strongly recommend Fortis College because you will feel prepared with a sense of confidence in starting your new career.

I am so pleased to have been a Fortis College student. From the President, Directors, Instructors to the staff have displayed great care about each of the students, in a very professional and informative manner. Each teacher has taken the time to understand the individual needs of the student, matches that with how the student learns best and truly cares about the students. This makes the learning environment flexible and adaptive. The school is large, clean, and following Covid protocol and this is important for me, they observe discipline, they know how to find an approach to each student. Overall excellent school and I would highly recommend Fortis College to all the students searching for a good school!

Be warned, the cost of the RN program is $50,000 without any pre requisites. I applied to the program with every pre requisite done at SJR state but some would not transfer. 2 classes were 10 years old (human growth/development and sociology.) These classes don’t expire and have been transferred to other schools with out issues. College algebra I obtained a ‘c’ in and wouldn’t transfer. Biology with lab is a $1600 course at Fortis that they will make you take even if you have A&P 1 and 2 along with Microbiology and lab credits. After all this, I’m left with a $8000 tuition bill that must be paid while in school. Realistically, who can afford $300 a month especially with preceptorship which they claim will be 5 days a week for 3-4 months (other state colleges it’s 1-2 months, 3 days out of the week)

I have attended fortis twice once for the medical assistant program and another for the Lpn program and both time I had a great experience. The instructors are very hands on and willing to help with any matter as well as other staff members. If your looking for a school that’s hands on and care about their students this would be a amazing opportunity. Communication is top tier for this school.

I've been calling about the associate in nursing program for a while. I always either get a voicemail or an unsuccessful transfer attempt. Very rarely do people call back. When they do, I get a crumb of relevant information, a promise to follow up, and then I can't get ahold of them again. I tried to get my transcripts evaluated, was told that FSCJ's anatomy and physiology credits most likely wouldn't be accepted because Fortis' anatomy and physiology classes are 6 credits each whereas FSCJ's are only 4. But the advisor assured me that my other general education credits should transfer. However, based on the same logic, my general education classes also wouldn't be accepted because they are 3 credit classes whereas Fortis' are 4-5 credits. None of this is confirmed of course since they never return my calls or emails about the transcript evaluation.
This is a NATIONALLY accredited school. This means regionally accreditated schools (like University of North Florida), likely won't accept their credits. You will likely have to retake your general education credits if you decide to further your education. This is based on personal experience with nationally accredited institutions.

And yes, every school has their own credit evaluation requirements and each school, whether regionally accredited or nationally accredited, can accept or decline credits as they are fit. However, this is especially important to consider when going from nationally accredited to regionally accredited schools.

Keep this in mind before you spend $50-55k on an associate's degree here. That is what the associate degree in nursing program at this campus costs. I say this because they make it so hard to find that information online and you have to play phone tag with them to get an appointment scheduled to EVENTUALLY get this question answered.
I had high hopes for this school, but it's been disappointment after disappointment and I haven't even started in the program.

Schools, like everyone, want to make a good first impression but if this is their best, then I've seen enough.
