Enjoyed watching my boys going on their pleasure flight today for husbands birthday. The whole place is a great set up, very friendly. I sat at cafe while they were away flying , good stock of scones and cake and drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating we will definitely back flying or not. Think it’s a hidden secret that we should all try and support . Nothing else like it . Drinking coffee at the end of a runway. Give it a try I know u will enjoy it. X

We have just got home from a fantastic festive afternoon tea here. Santa arrived in a plane and then we had a gorgeous, freshly made afternoon tea in the cafe. We also saw loads of small aircraft come and go and a private helicopter come in to refuel. Fantastic place and staff were brilliant.

Went there for the open cinema , slightly disorganised but overall a good experience,

Little to no sign posts,

Bar had issues with the gas and wasn't ready till 6 when the event opened at 4

Food was pizza or wraps/buns , tasted very good, though.

There were no lights at portable toilets, and they were disgusting.

Next event I imagine will be better,

First visit to this airfield which I didn't even know existed till a couple of days ago. There are no signposts on the A1 so you'll have to keep your eyes open for the turn off. It has a rough car park, but is adequate. The cafe and viewing area are really good, and you can watch the planes take off and land while enjoying a cup of coffee or bit to eat. It was a real pleasure to visit so will be back again soon.

Fantastic cafe and facilities to watch the comings and goings of the aircraft at this small airfield. We visited in December for a special visit from Santa (and the Grinch!) - what a fabulous time!! Santa flew in from the North Pole in a Cessna 150, we all feasted on a delicious home made afternoon tea, followed by hot chocolate and singing to Santa. Fab place, check Facebook page for opening as it's seasonal - April onwards, weather dependent. Highly recommended!

A fabulous experience !! coast and castles. My pilot , Will , extinguished any nerves I had. He was calm and informative and let me take the controls for a short time. I loved every minute....and I'll be back for a longer flight soon.😁

Great place to visit in Northumberland (child friendly) with opportunity to sit in aircraft, truck and RAF 1940s car. Hangar tours and great cafe, and of course , chance to see lots of small aircraft taxi and take off👌
