I used to attend skill build stacy said it was a good place for me as i have autism she said that the course were good there and etc . I went there for three weeks every Monday,Thursday a Fridays stacy never mentioned anything about there being a dog on the school grounds.From the day i started the dog would jump up me and scratch me bite me etc i couldn’t go to the school dressed nice as the dog would get me covered in mud no matter how hard i tried to push the dog off me or shout at her she just wouldn’t leave me alone it got so bad to the point where i was scared to go into the gates to get on to the school grounds i no longer attend skill build because of the dog and because stacy was not a good help for anything in lesson all she would do was tell you what were doing then just give us a laptop and give us no further help i do not recommend this school at all. When i confronted stacy about the dog she said that i can look to go to another school and refused to call my mum and told my friend who is also in the same situation as me ,that she can’t have days off for being ill or needing a day off for her mental health stacy then left me and my friend in a room on are own and when we went to the male teacher stacy would not come back to the room and was only texting the other teacher on her phone and when my friends mum came she was just laughing about it i do not recommend anyone to attend this school.

Terrible
My son has been homeschooled since primary and thought this would be great being smaller than Derby College.
My son is very nervous and all of this was explained when we visited .
Contact Stacey a wk before induction to express this no reply , induction came and went , contacted Stacy and Kayleigh by email left voice msg and still no reply ! Called again and managed to get hold if Kayleigh ,( this was on the first day of his induction Monday ) and a plan for my son to go in on Wed and I would be called with a time , again no call nothing .

This was the same when my daughter visited 3 years prior , needless to say she never attended , Derby College put in the work for a nervous child and she is now starting University.

It seems as though they are more interested in student's that caus less work and not prepared to put the effort in to accommodate a student that needs that little help coming in for the first few weeks .

I've tried getting hold of the manager also I've left emails and messages with Stacey and still no reply my son was suppose to start on the 16th March 2022 but because he had to change the time due to circumstances Stacey told him to look somewhere else that suits his needs this does he had to change times that's all but then no reply for over a week my son is now upset due to this wouldn't rate it for the teachers to call you back when you need to talk to them to sort this out

i started in september im taking time off but i would say thats its a great college and there great people who help you
