Four of us completed a weekend course covering rock rigging and lead climbing at Almscliffe. Andy, Adrian and Gary (and Sammy!) were wonderful and positive mentors who helped us all feel confident despite never having done it before. Andy is highly knowledgeable and generous with his experience. We covered a lot over the two days and are very excited to get back out there. Fantastic 2 days of Fundamentals courses. Andy did a great job of making the content applicable to everyone on the course no matter their experience. I wouldn't consider doing the remaining courses with anyone else.

We've used Andy for outdoor coaching several times now after my daughter's indoor climbing squad coach recommended him - he has been superb each time. Andy is extremely skilled and does a brilliant job of tailoring the session to the abilities of the audience, encouraging you to push yourself while not overwhelming you. As well as encouraging safe and fun climbing, he's also very good at picking up ways to improve technique and teaching respect for the environment. Even after our session he freely gave up his time to give me some guidance when I had safety concerns about our local school's climbing instruction, even calling me for nearly an hour to give me some advice and sending me some material to assist. Through my daughter's competition climbing I meet lots of coaches, who almost all know Andy and always speak highly of him, which shows the respect that he holds in the industry. I'd not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for fun, friendly and professional coaching.

Have had the pleasure of spending two full days with Andy at climb for life , watching him develop my two lads 14 and 17 has been an absolute pleasure.
I have seen lots of instructors teaching various stuff and generally they are all very good, but honestly, Andy is a cut above, it’s a real skill to develop people quickly and safely without overloading them and he’s has that nailed.
My lads have been totally absorbed in it all. Even for me as a parent watching it has been brilliant.
I have booked more days with him and I recommend Climb for life without any hesitation to anyone interested in climbing. Just brilliant !!

I can't say enough about our fantastic experience with Climb for Life and our rock rigging day led by Andy. His experience and expertise is more than evident. He patiently guided both my partner and I through every aspect of rock rigging, leaving us feeling not only confident but excited to rig on our own.

Andy's teaching methods are brilliant, breaking down complex concepts into easily digestible pieces of information. He never compromised on safety, making sure we were comfortable at all times. His friendly and down-to-earth approach made the day so enjoyable, and it went by so quickly!

We can't wait to put our newly acquired skills to the test. If you're considering any aspects of climbing tuition rock, I highly recommend Climb for Life with Andy.

Andy’s course delivery was absolutely fantastic. Throughout the two days, exceptionally high quality information and tactics were delivered in a palatable, generative and enjoyable way. I've been fortunate to attend a few training sessions delivered by Andy: FUNdas 1, FUNdas 2, Foundation Coach Training and most recently he assessed me for my Foundation Coach qualification. I really enjoy Andy's approach, he has tonnes of experience within climbing and training other coaches - this really comes across in his natural, relaxed delivery and calm considered approach. He was helpful throughout the process, knew he'd always be there if I had any questions or wanted his input on anything. Shame we're based so far apart and our time together is relative limited!
