A touch of frost. Followed NHS guidance to obtain pharmacists advice but it was like blood from a stone. The pharmacist was in shop-assistant mode and only mustered enough professional energy to push a tube of over the counter ointment. Scarce on information and advice it felt as though I was being served by an emotionless robot. Although those have AI these days. Seriously disappointing and lacking in medicinal advice and assistance which could easily have been dispensed. My advice? Just use this place for picking up prescriptions and don’t expect a smile.

Normally, very good. This week 'front of house' was decidedly frosty. Told prescription would be ready later (sent over electronically 3 days before) but later that day said it wasn't in stock and had only been received yesterday.

Can I say this chemist has great staff hence the three stars. I would have given more if it hadn't been for the reason that is given after this. This Boots as a chemist never seems to have your prescription. Inevitably you end up having to wait until they get your prescription in stock which isn't always very quick.

I get my Prescriptions from here , The staff are so friendly and Very helpful, It’s the best Chemist in Amble ,
The one and only down side is I wish the shop was a lot bigger , Come on Boots buy or rent a larger premises, Amble is getting bigger with a lot more houses being built you need to keep up with demand or people will go else where

A very small shop but the staff have worked wonders at keeping it Covid safe.. Just what we need for the wellbeing of the community. Staff are really friendly and helpful but are held back by Boots retail practices.
