Nobody to meet or greet lucky a child sent us in right direction to pay and collect hats .
Instructer was clearly very knowledgeable but totally uninterested in novice riders!

Terrible excuse of a riding school.

Took my younger sister for her first private riding lesson, and she left the place crying.

We paid Ā£27 for half an hour, and Ā£3 to borrow a hat! So Ā£30 to sit on a pony that wouldn’t do anything except make a beeline for the haynets that were tied up in the arena !!!!!!

For the instructor to then shout at my sister and tell her she cannot control the pony… Isn’t that the whole point of your ā€˜first’ riding lesson? To LEARN how to control the pony?

The ā€˜instructor’ got irritated and started speaking in silly technical terms that a 13 year old beginner wouldn’t understand… and then when said 13 year old beginner didn’t understand… the ā€˜instructor’ got irritated again.

The ā€˜instructor’ spoke to my sister in a really condescending manner, certainly not the tone of voice I am happy to pay Ā£30 for…

My little sister had a terrible experience here and she left the place so upset… and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

The ponies look sickly and unwell, and even the better shaped ones look sad and unhappy.

Two of the other ā€˜helpers’ were in the barn trotting up a completely lame pony, and they said it was fine, and to go and tack it up.

I wouldn’t even send a child that I don’t like here. Awful place.

Debbie is lovely and she has taught my son so such, he wouldn’t be where he is today at the Northern Racing College without her guidance and all the early lessons on the lovely Milly.

seen this place on social media, they have about 8 people in one lesson the kids are jumping 40-60 when they can’t even sit a canter, yelling at the horses and the students smacking with the whip pretty hard. Seems unprofessional and totally outrageous that they’re jumping when they can’t keep their hands steady and leaning all the way back in canter. Going round courses yanking on the horses mouth.

I was so excited to be having my first riding lesson in over 10 years, So last Thursday I was booked to ride a horse called Disco, upon arrival it looked a bit busy and I felt like a spare part just stood in the stables area not knowing where to go or who to see. Anyway the instructor came to me and I had my lesson. I wouldn't say I was made to feel that welcome and when I tried to make conversation with the instructor after my lesson by asking how many horses were there she replied I've never counted them! I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and said I would book in again. I was told to see the young girl in the office who then booked me in for 4.30pm the following Friday (which is today now) but when I got in the car to go home my husband told me 4.30pm would be too early and could I make it later. I phoned up immediately and a woman answered. I said can I change the lesson I have just booked for a bit later please. She said we should have availability for later that day, but can you text Beth shes teaching at the moment but will reply inbetween or after lessons. I said no problem and text Beth asking if I could change my lesson time. This was last Thursday evening and I have never received a reply! I cant believe a business would run like that just ignoring a customer is terrible. Whoever took my phonecall knew I wanted to change my lesson, and then I text Beth too, but nobody has done anything. I thought I may get a phonecall today at 4.30pm asking where I was, as I presume I was still in the diary for that time, but no nothing. I obviously don't matter. So upsetting as I've been wanting to get back into horse riding for ages but obviously been on hold with covid etc. I felt that the stables are all geared up more for children and as I'm an adult they werent bothered about me, but my 2 children were in the car and I had said if all went well I would book them in for lessons too. Now they are disappointed as well. Theses stables have lost a fair bit of business now as the 3 of us would have had lessons every week and its all down to their terrible communication and unwelcoming manner. I would look elsewhere like we will be doing! Such a totally unprofessional way to run a business.
