Me and my friend are fairly inexperienced in the climbing world however the owners of the place were lovely with us and really supported our efforts during our time there ensuring we had the best experience. I can’t complain about the price to use both the climbing wall and bouldering wall for 2 whole hours, which the owners seemed lenient about if we wanted to stay a little longer than that. They even asked us for song requests for the speakers. I think the best part was that we didn’t feel judged for our lack of experience by everyone in the building whether that’s the friendly staff or the friendly customers.

Fantastic. Great set up. Excellent location. Impressive variety of bouldering and top rope routes. Well maintained equipment. Excellent attention to safety and detail. Well served. Very professional. The staff were engaging and helpful. Obviously enjoy what they do. Glad Ambleside has this facility.

Our 15 & 19 year old kids had an intro climbing hour. Both loved it. Great attention from the instructor, who was very friendly. The walls and boulders are well set out and challenging. Not too busy despite being peak season

Nice bouldering area but quite small and the price is quite high considering the size. The routes are quite challenging as well! Beginners may find difficult to start.
Roped climbing area looks amazing!

Took our 11 yr old Granddaughter for her first climbing experience on a wall. First class venue . Brilliant coaching from a very patient Freddie who has won this girl over to a great sport and I’m sure she’ll be picking up the NICAS training he spoke so passionately about .

Perfect activity for a rainy day the indoor wall for the kids! Highly recommend.
Great set up with a cafe you can sit in as a parent and watch them get to the top of the wall and having some kid free time!
We did the kids taster session and they had Elliot whom was brilliant with enthusiasm and really passed this on to the kids. Great sense achievement for them too as it’s high!
What was a rainy day ‘filler’ will now be a staple for when we are in the lakes.
