Not perfect but there is a waiting room and easy pick area. There is also a nearby carpark. One thing that I normally miss in many train stations in the UK is either an escalator or a lift. This has to stop! Enough with the cost saving drama. Do the needful! All stations need updates and should be well facilitated for users. After all they are paying!

Good station with half-hourly services to/from London Mon-Sat. Grand-looking historic station building and located very close to the town centre.

I was disappointed by a staff member at the gate today at 8 AM who showed no generosity. Due to a road diversion, I arrived late and couldn't buy a ticket in time. I asked him to let me through, promising to purchase a ticket on the train, but he refused, saying my lateness wasn’t his problem. His response felt rude and unkind. I’ve never had this experience before in this station, as I’ve always found the staff to be understanding in such situations and allowing to buy ticket on train. It is important to consider people’s circumstances and show kindness.

I think the staff are what make this station - the lady who is in the gate line weekday mornings in particular is very good - always has time for everyone and is smiley and happy all the time! There’s also a lady who does the platform duties - like ramps for disabled people etc who is also an absolute star. The station desperately needs a cafe or coffee shop however - there used to be one but it never came back after the pandemic!

One of the very few train stations with minimal shops (1) or even working vending machines. That's when the shop is even open which it isnt most of the time. There is also a coffee shop outside the station but that not always open either. So dont expect to get any food or drink of any kind if your leaving or arriving in Aldershot. The station is well used and has a large number of passengers so it pretty poor it doesnt have better facilities. Needs a big chain to come in and show them how to run a shop.
